Server

Server

In computing, a server is a computer program or a device that provides functionality for other programs or devices, called "clients". This architecture is called the client-server model, and a single overall computation is distributed across multiple processes or devices.

Simplifying The Term Server
As the name tells a server is supposed to serve the users. Don't be afraid of the name server, a server is just a computer which runs all seven days in a week nonstop where users store and receive data from it.
Types Of Servers:
  1. Proxy Server.
  2. Mail Server.
  3. Web Server.
  4. Application Server.
  5. Real-time Communication Server.
  6. FTP Server.
  7. Collaboration Server.
  8. Remote Server.
  9. Print Server.
  10. Accounting Server.
How Server Works
  • I already told you, that it is just a computer which remains online all the time.
  • The thing is the servers are built to run for a long period of time without needing a reboot. Which is not in the case like you and me use our laptop or computer.
  • So the operating system in these computers(Server) are also different. There is no new company in the market, but an operating system like Windows or Linux have different operating systems for the servers, which do not need a reboot.
  • There are a bunch of hard drives in which data is stored.
Conclusion
So now you have a basic idea of what is a server, don't worry if you don't understand it. Just think the server is just a computer which remains online to serve you for downloading and uploading the data.

Basics of Networking

What is a network? According to Google " a group or system of interconnected people or things" is called network. In computer world computing devices exchange data with each other using connections between nodes. These data links are established over cable media such as wires or optic cables, or wireless media such as Wi-Fi.  In simple words, a network is a communication between two devices sharing some data through cables or wireless media.      Why we need a network? Humans are social animals, devices are too. Devices also need to talk to each other to operate some tasks. Networking of computers helps the network users to share data files. Hardware sharing: Users can share devices such as printers, scanners, CD-ROM drives, hard drives etc. Components of a network: A computer network includes a lot of devices to operate depending upon the distance, mode,  and other technical things you will learn in this blog. Basic components of a network are: Switc

OSI Model

OSI Model . Introduction If you are in the field of networking or you are curious to learn about networking you have heard the term OSI( Open Systems Interconnection ) model. So the OSI model is a reference model which explains how a network works dividing it by seven layers, which we are going to study now. The seven layers of the OSI model. Seven layers of the OSI model[/caption] 1. Physical layer. In the physical layer, there are all the physical connections between the networking devices. Usually, the major problems in networking come here like damaged cables, unplug switches, and many other physical problems. 2. Data link layer. The data link layer is the protocol layer in a program that handles the moving of data into and out of a physical link in a network. 3. Network layer. The network layer is responsible for packet forwarding including routing through intermediate routers. Data is transferred in the form of packets via

Jobs In IT

Jobs Finding Jobs in IT field is a bit tricky since for the reason there is a lot of competition going on. If a person wants to get a job in this field then he or she needs to have a great passion towards technology. No need to worry i have some few tips for you to how to get started. Decide what you want to do:       There are basically two paths in IT field Networking and Development. It is totally up to you with which you want to go. Whatever, you choose make sure your concepts regarding that are clear. Get some experience: Getting experience is easy in this field just do some small projects if you have chosen the development path like making small and easy games or by making some websites to show-off your web development skills. On the other hand if you have chosen the networking path then make some real life projects in packet tracer which is the simulation software to give you an real life networking scenario. Show your skills to the market:&nbsp The last step
